Another Fun day at CFR with 72 cars trying to tame the track today. It was a good day for some and not so good for others. With the track blue grooving today it definitely caught some racers off guard. Now people know what they need to work on to get there cars settled back down. Congrats to all the winners of the races and our prize drawings. It was great having some out of town visitors today and we hope they and all of you had a good time. Next up is the KDOC in 2 weeks and we hope to see you all then. Once again thank you all for your support of the track and the club.

It was another Fun and great day of racing at CFR today. The racing is getting better every race for sure. Mother nature tried to throw us a curve ball today but we were able to trick her again. Congratulations to all the winners of the races and door prizes. We would also like to thank Tower Hobbies for coming on board to help us out. We will now take next weekend off and hope you all have a safe and happy 4th of July. Our next club race is July 13th and we hope to see you all at the track for another great day of racing.

We would like to thank all of you for a fun but unusual day at the track. We can say that today was the first time we have ever lost power at the track. Thank you Josh McKinney for the use of the generator to keep the show rolling. All in all the racing and track are getting better as we keep moving on with the season. We think for the most part everyone had a good time. The new Hobby Stock class appears to be a hit and dang they look cool. A big thank you to all that help us keep the day moving and to Denise for taking pictures for us today. Jace Boney made his debut as track announcer by helping call some races and we think he did a great job. Thank you to all the sponsors that give us great prizes to give away and help in ways you will never know. Most of all, thank you to all the racers for your support over all these years.

What a great day of racing. We want to thank all of you that made it to this years Halloween Havoc. A great time was had by everyone. The kids started the day off with the annual trick or treat parade and we ended the season with the Havoc 100 team race. This years format was a Figure 8 100 lapper and from all the laughter that was heard we think it was a hit. We want to congratulate all the winners and thank you all for your support of the track and club this season. We look forward to seeing you all at the different indoor tracks over the winter and look forward to seeing you next spring when we get things started on our 11th season.

It was a great day as 101 entries took to the track in support of our military. The race was moved on the schedule this year to September in hopes of having cooler temperatures but instead mother nature showed her support with the hottest day of the year. It shows that when we set out to raise money the Dirtslingers are there in full support. It made us and we hope all of you feel great that we were able to raise $827 for the VFW. A big thank you to all of you.

We want to congratulate all the winners who took home the trophies and door prizes. A big thank you goes out to the VFW for presenting the colors to start the raceday and sticking it out in the heat to present the trophies. Thank you to everyone that helped get the track ready, running the races, taking pictures and helping on the track during the raceday. Most importantly another thank you to all the racers for showing us your support.

Donna and I would like to thank everyone that made it out today. With Mother Nature giving us extremely hot temperatures that made for ever changing track conditions, we had 79 cars trying to tame the track. Congratulations to all the winners. We now take a week off and our next race will be the Racing For Heroes Benefit on 9/8/13. Once again thank you all for your support of the track and club.

Another great turnout today as 90 cars took to the track. I want to apologize for the track, who knew what it was going to do today. Track conditions made for some good racing and some horrible racing. I think its time for a complete track rebuild. With that said congrats to the winners today and thanks to all the races for joining in the fun. We will now take a week off and return to the track on August 25th. Hope to see you then.

The 2013 KDOC is in the books and all I can say is what a weekend. Donna and I would like to thank everyone that participated or just stopped by to watch this years event. With our support of local racers and a large contingent of DODC traveling racers we set a new track record of 175 entries. We would like to congratulate all the winners and hope that everyone had a FUN time.

A big thank you goes out to all that helped make this race a huge success. Josh for all the hours you spend helping, Pat and Clint for the announcing, Chris for taking care of tech and Elmo, Scott, Trevor and CA for taking care of the track. Jason for videoing throughout the weekend, Chris K. for covering the event for RC Driver, Nicole Lutz for all the different shirts and Fred for all the help every morning and night doing whatever we needed done. To Donna and Patty in the cafe, thank you for keeping us all fed. You both worked your butts off the days preceding and during the race. I’m sure there are folks that I left off and I apologize for it, but if you helped in anyway thank you.

I want to congratulate Patrick Moline on his induction into the Kansas Dirt Slingers Hall Of Fame. You are a vital member of the club and a great friend to all of us.

To all of our sponsors we thank you for everything. With your great support we were able to keep all the racers hydrated and provide every racer with a door prize. To all the club members I thank you for all your support and continuing efforts to bring new racers into our hobby. I think we showed all of our guest just how strong the Kansas Dirt Slingers RC Club is. To all the traveling racers we hope you all had a great time. It was nice to see some old friends and have the chance to make some new ones. We hope you will come back and race with us again. Let’s hope we have the cool temperatures again next year.

In closing I would once again like to thank you all for helping turn my passion for the hobby I love into reality every time we all get together. We all want to be competitive but the main goal is we all have FUN doing it.

PS: Tried my best to stay busy. Just like last year we had our big race of the year this weekend. He was on my mind all day and when they had rain forecast for us, all I could do was think it’s not going to happen because he was looking out for me and kept it away. It finally got the best of me around noon and I just had to go be by myself for a short time. Love you and miss you Daddy(Oct. 20, 1931 – July 28, 2012).
