Well the 2016 KDOC is in the books and all I can say is what a great 2 days. Donna and I would like to thank everyone that participated or just stopped by to watch this years event. With our support of local racers and a large contingent of traveling racers we had a great turnout with 110 entries. We would like to congratulate all the winners and hope that everyone had a FUN time.

A big thank you goes out to all that helped make this race a huge success. To John Dempsey, Elmo Shirk, Chris Flower and Scott Lutz thank you for all the help on getting the track ready and helping keep it in great shape throughout the day. Pat Moline and Clint Seitz for running the races. Josh McKinney for filming all the mains and both Josh and Nikki Lutz for the pictures. To Donna, Patty, Fred and Nikki in the cafe, thank you for keeping us all fed. You all worked your butts off the days preceding and during the race . I’m sure there are folks that I left off and I apologize for it, but if you helped in anyway Thank You. I want to congratulate Josh McKinney and Jason Boyer on there inductions into the Kansas Dirt Slingers Hall Of Fame. You both are vital members of the club and great friends to all of us.

To all of our sponsors we thank you for everything. W Here is a list of all of them. Kicker Audio, Mc Allister, Team Associated, Midwest Sports Productions, Atomik RC, RPM, Boom RC and Gary Brannon for the tire tubes. Remember to support these great companies whenever you can.

To all the club members I thank you for all your support and continuing efforts to bring new racers into our hobby. I think we showed all of our guest just how strong the Kansas Dirt Slingers RC Club is. To all the traveling racers we hope you all had a great time. It was nice to see some old friends and have the chance to make some new ones. We hope you all will come back and race with us again.

Well it was another Fun but hot day at the track today with 63 cars hitting the track. Congrats to all the winners and thanks to everyone that made it out. It was great having 2 heats in the novice class with more new racers showing up today. With mother nature threatening rain yesterday and last night the track wasn’t the best the first round but we all stayed after it and it really came around nicely. Then there was the issue with the power outage but thanks to the generator that Donna didn’t need for the café today we were able to keep the program going.

We now take some time off due to my work schedule and to prepare for the KDOC on July 29th and 30th. We have some nice trophies and we hope to see you all for the race. The website will be updated soon with the full results and updated points. Once again thank you all for the support.
